Connie is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her parents divorced when she was a toddler. Connie and her older brother, Raynard, were raised by their mother who never remarried. From early childhood through their teens, Connie and Raynard spent just about every weekend and every summer with their Grand Ma Bert, Alberta Katherine Haskins.
Although she was raised in the church, Connie did not accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of her life until she was in her early 30’s. She spent many years living a depressed, defeated life. Connie has a heart for those who are hurting, confused and broken. God has given Connie the privilege of ministering on a one on one basis to women who are in the throes of emotional abuse.
Connie is married to Darrell L. Woodard who is her business partner, mentor, speaking coach, sounding board, and best friend. She is the mother of two daughters, Brittany who teaches school in New York City, and Jordan who is in middle school. The family resides in Jacksonville, Florida. Connie’s hobbies are reading, writing, and gardening.
Connie earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Howard University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Virginia School of Law. Connie is also a graduate of She Speaks, Proverbs 31 Ministries, Charlotte, N.C. Connie has practiced law in Jacksonville for over 20 years. She currently has her own practice, the Law Office of Connie Renee Clay, P.A. where she focuses on family law matters. |
